According to this news clip at Reuters, an eclipse due to happen this month in Nigeria forced the government to warn their citizens they may suffer “psychological discomfort”, but should not panic. A similar eclipse five years ago was responsible for riots because people didn’t know why it happened. And when people don’t know the reasons for something, they blame evil people nearby (or a god like entity, but I digress). Anyway, it’s little gems like these that makes us jump to the calendar and check which year we are on. Twice.
