The egg, apparently.

“When I carefully consider the curious habits of dogs
I am compelled to conclude
That man is the superior animal.
When I consider the curious habits of man
I confess, my friend, I am puzzled.”
(Ezra Pound)
My favorite exemplar of the Pointillism school of painting – Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, from Georges Seurat.

I have been busy and dealing with some personal scares recently, but still managed to keep an eye on some good stuff. And today I feel like sharing.
A list of historical sounds in mp3 format, from Spiro Agnew – Hippies to Woodrow Wilson – 1915 Speech to Indians. A bit US of A biased, but we get our Churchill, Hitler and Stalin. Oh and Che, how could I forget Che?!?. He is soooo coool!!! Kids love him.

Just read this superb piece on Israel in the Haaretz. Written by Tony Judt, it deals among other things with Israel’s background and how it affects its affairs with the world. The author is not even afraid of having a stab at what can the country expect for the future if current policies persist. Enlightening stuff.
Speaking about Tony Judt, I would recommend his “Postwar: The History of Europe Since 1945” book heartily to those who are interested in Europe’s history and foreign affairs.
