A bit of plenty
May 23, 2006I have been busy and dealing with some personal scares recently, but still managed to keep an eye on some good stuff. And today I feel like sharing.
- The first part of an article on the social implications of doubling our lifespan. Torward Immortality. Update: The remaining two parts of the article are also available. Top notch.
- If you are interested in photography or do image editing, KaveWall has plenty of free stock photos, images and textures. High quality stock, none of that “you get this for free coz it ain’t worth ****”.
- The Interact10ways project from getty images is simply superb. Interact with images and photographs in ways you never thought before. Needs Flash.
- Edge, The Third Culture, has both an interview and article from Daniel Gilbert on the Science of Happiness. In a nutshell, people make errors, and we don’t seem to learn with past mistakes. Right.
- Finish band Lordi won the Eurovision Song Contest with this song, to the horror (pun intended) of many. It is reported to have made plenty of princess wannabes shudder under their glamorous but improvable little dresses. Cry us a river, Carola and company.
