André Gide wrote: “One doesn’t discover new lands without consenting to lose sight of the shore for a very long time”. Too attached to land, surely my main handicap in recent times.

In the last couple weeks, as well as rediscovering Ferlinghetti, I dug deep into musical memory and revisited some favorites of mine. Favorites as this one, from the Portuguese representatives of the Industrial music movement, Bizarra Locomotiva.

I did not write a lot lately on this blog. Okay, let’s be candid, I did not write at all on this blog for what is, now, two years. Why? Well, you can’t find the right tone again, or even the will. Professional life consumes a big slice of your time. Or you decide it is not right to spend the resources that could very well be devoted to that special someone that was the gleam in your eyes. Whatever it is, things change, and they change all the time. And that’s good, as hadn’t things changed again, and you wouldn’t be reading these words.

So, we have now a fresh look for this blog, a new address under my personal Internet domain, and a handful of neat tweaks under the hood, with more to come. The only thing missing is some new posts. That shouldn’t be too hard. Let’s roll.
