About
My name is Pedro, and I was born in 1972. I live in Sweden for several years now, in a city called Göteborg. It is the second city of this country, and in many ways it is not that different from my home town – Porto, Portugal. The gray undertones, the nearness to the sea, the humidity, and even the people. Yes, I enjoy it here. Maybe a bit on the chilly side sometimes, but I’m not so simple-minded as to make that a reason not to go anywhere.
During the day (and sometimes at night) I work in Information Technologies. It is one of the many things I delight in. I am also keen on reading, music, photography, cinematography and many more things I seem never to find the time for. Overall, I love learning, learning from the world and it’s people, and I wish I could possess the entire mankind’s knowledge. I aim high, given.
I have a daughter. She is going to be six years old and answers by the name of Sara. She is a delightful little girl, receptacle of all my best hopes and dreams. Specially one, but which one is to be my little secret.

But, alas, it lost grace after some time. I want to believe it is my maturing self working by shifting it’s goalposts. So, since it is my blog, My Blog will be.
The subtitle – Into a limbo large and broad, since called The Paradise of Fools, to few unknown – comes from John Milton’s Paradise Lost. That’s My World for you.
In this blog you will find random tidbits, ideas and thoughts. With luck (without forgetting that luck helps those who help themselves) you will see the real me, undisturbed by the influences of some of the nasty people that roam this world. I try to write in English most of my time, but occasionally you may find posts in Portuguese. Or Swedish. Maybe even in some other language.
To end my presentation, a word of warning: don’t complain about contradictions. I can easily get away with them. In the words of Walt Whitman -
